APPENDIX A
AirMail Challenge -
Equipment: Airmail box (6-inch diameter hole), 4 Cornhole bags (1 lb. each+- .25inch), Tape measure (50 feet), Video Equipment.
*All equipment for the challenge will be provided by the Sponsor.
*ONLY equipment provided by the Sponsor may be used to perform the challenge.
The SkillsJunkie AirMail Challenge is defined as the Grand Prize Winner attempts to toss a cornhole bag from behind the foul line (marked) into the hole of an airmail box whereas the hole (target) of the airmail box is 30 feet to the bottom point of the hole of the airmail box. (see court dimensions)
A pitch may be tossed underhanded or overhanded.
When tossing a bag, the Winner must release the bag before any part of the person's body touches the ground/floor on or beyond the foul line.
At the time of the release, both of the person's feet must be behind the vertical plane established by the foul line.
*If there is any violation of the rules during a challenge, the bag or bags tossed will be disqualified from the challenge.
A Sponsor’s Official will monitor each skills challenge either live at the event or remotely via live video.
All skills challenge discrepancies are subject to review by SkillsJunkie and final decisions will be made by SkillsJunkie personnel.
Court Dimensions GRAPH To be added.
Guidelines - The Grand Prize Winner will toss a cornhole bag (one at a time), from behind the foul line and attempt to land the bag inside the hole of the airmail box. Only bags that land completely in the hole of the airmail box will count as a successful attempt. Any bags landing on the surface of the airmail box, ones not completely in the hole must be removed before the next toss is attempted. If the bag that lands on the surface of the airmail box is not removed and another toss is thrown, both bags or multiple bags if more than one is thrown without removal of the bag on the playing surface will be disqualified.
*Disqualified - not eligible to win
SkillsJunkie has multiple AirMail Challenge Models. Each model has a unique method of success.
Model #1- Traditional AirMail Challenge
In this model, each successful toss (bag completely in the hole), will be worth 25% of the prize pool.
If all 4 bags land completely in the hole, with no rule violations, the Grand Prize Winner will win 100% of the prize pool.
Model #2- Traditional AirMail Challenge with a "Decision Tree"
In this model, everything's the same as Model #1, except after each bag tossed, the Grand Prize Winner will be forced to make a decision whether to continue with the challenge and risk one-half of their winnings or opt out of the rest of the challenge and keep the full amount of their successful attempts.
In this model, all bags must land successfully and completely in the hole to win the total prize pool.
Model #3 - Progressive AirMail Challenge
In this model, the Grand Prize Winner will toss 4 bags (one at a time), attempting to land them completely in the hole of the airmail box following the guidelines. Each successful toss will represent an increasing percentage of the prize pool.
Bag 1 - 10%
Bag 2 - 20%
Bag 3 - 30%
Bag 4 - 40%
With each unsuccessful attempt (miss) the winning percent will be decreased by half.
Example: If toss #1 is missed, then the remaining possible percentages are Bag #2 - 10%, Bag #3 - 15%, and Bag #4 - 20%. Then if toss #2 is missed, the possible prize percentages for toss #3, and toss #4 are Bag #3 - 7.5% and Bag #4 - 10%. Then if toss #3 is missed, the possible prize percentages for toss #4 is Bag #4 - 5% of the total prize pool.
Payout example of this model:
example: $25,000 total prize pool
Toss attempt #1 - successful attempt equals 10% of the total prize pool or $2,500
Toss attempt #2 - successful attempt equals 20% of the total prize pool or $5,000
Toss attempt #3 - unsuccessful attempt equals no prize for attempt #3, but still has banked $7,500 from attempts 1 and 2.
Toss attempt #4 - successful attempt equals 20% of the total prize pool or $5,000
In this example, the winning amount equals a total of $12,500.
